The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is one of the most widely regarded and recognized diamond grading labs in the world. This labs has consistently demonstrated their commitment to high standards.

Shopping for certified diamonds allows you to make an informed choice about your selections, and to comparison shop. You can compare one diamond with a particular weight and quality with other diamonds of similar weight and quality to determine which is the better value.

The value of a certificate when buying a diamond is undeniable. If you do not receive a diamond grading certificate from an unbiased, independent, respected laboratory, you are not getting the diamond you are being promised. All of the below cert we feature are independant grading houses and are non-profit organisations.

  • GIA- Gemological Institute of America, GIA is the creator of the famous 4Cs of diamond value (color, clarity, cut, and carat weight). It is also the corporate birthplace of the International Diamond Grading System™ . Today, GIA's D-Z color-grading scale and GIA's Flawless–I3 clarity-grading scale are recognized by virtually every professional jeweler and savvy diamond buyer in the world. The Institute is also known for having developed and patented the first modern jeweler's loupe.
  • IGI- International Gemological Institute, The IGl Diamond Report is essentially a statement attesting to the authenticity of a diamond and providing a reliable and accurate statement of its identity and grade based on an internationally recognized system. Each diamond is scientifically analyzed by several gemologists who use their experience in combination with state-of-the-arst equipment to produce an accurate description of the characteristics of the diamond and the quality of its cut. With its detailed information presented in understandable language, the different qualities of a diamond can be truly appreciated. The grade or quality of a diamond is based on four characteristics commonly referred to as the 4C's: the Carat weight, Color , Clarity and Cut . These are analyzed and the results are recorded in the IGl Diamond Report.
  • EGL- European Gemological Laboratory, E.G.L.'s mission statement is to take the guesswork out of buying diamonds by providing diamond grading consultations and certificates to internationally accepted standards. Their customers are professional diamond wholesalers, retailers, manufactures and craftsmen in the diamond industry. They do not sell diamonds and they are totally independent of any diamond sales organisation.
  • HRD- Diamond High Council, Every diamond is unique, fashioned by nature and perfected by human ingenuity and craftsmanship. The HRD Certificates Department issues quality reports for loose, polished diamonds, describing the personality of your stone based on scientific grounds and according to international standards. An HRD Diamond Certificate guarantees that the stone examined is indeed a real diamond, and contains a full and detailed quality description, focussing on the famous 4 Cs : Carat (weight), Colour, Clarity and Cut. In addition to the HRD Diamond Certificate, for stones up to 0.99 ct a compact Diamond Identification Report is also available.
